{"id":352,"date":"2009-02-18T09:03:52","date_gmt":"2009-02-18T08:03:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/t-machine.org\/?p=352"},"modified":"2009-02-18T09:03:52","modified_gmt":"2009-02-18T08:03:52","slug":"phpmyfaq-dont-use-it-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/new.t-machine.org\/index.php\/2009\/02\/18\/phpmyfaq-dont-use-it-part-2\/","title":{"rendered":"phpMyFAQ: don&#8217;t use it, part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Disappointing<\/h4>\n<p>No spam filter (there is one, allegedly, but it&#8217;s invisible, non-configurable (!), and missing obvious spam words)<\/p>\n<p>(there are comments on the official forums from 3 years ago saying &#8220;we need some basic anti-spam tools&#8221; and the author replying with &#8220;we&#8217;re working on it&#8221;)<\/p>\n<h4>Annoying<\/h4>\n<p>No spam controls for reactive processing (banning users, marking comments as spam, etc).<\/p>\n<h4>Unforgivable<\/h4>\n<p>Each comment can ONLY be deleted one, by one, by one, requiring 6 mouse clicks per deletion!<\/p>\n<p>The concept of a list of comments, and a checkbox next to each, and a &#8220;delete selected comments&#8221; is now well over 10 years old &#8211; and it only takes a few minutes to implement with PHP + SQL.
